The Durham Parks Foundation exists to preserve, strengthen and expand parks, trails, open space and recreational opportunities in Durham.

About Us

Whether you’re hiking along the Eno River or enjoying fun amenities at your neighborhood park, we fundamentally believe access to these open spaces is important to the health and well-being of all Durham residents.

The Durham Parks Foundation supports Durham's parks, trails and open spaces, which contribute to the environmental quality, economic growth, and beauty of Durham.

We were founded in 2015 to facilitate public/private partnerships for Durham Parks and Recreation. The foundation is a volunteer-led organization that provides fundraising, helps publicize future projects, and advocates for the expansion, accessibility and improvement of Durham’s open spaces.

Durham Parks Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
