Duke Park Community Mural

A project to get a mural designed and painted by a local artist on the 1,000-square-foot wall located at the tennis courts in Duke Park. The community-based project will acknowledge and celebrate the diversity of Durham through art.

Let your vision become a part of this mural project! Share your vision by completing a survey virtually at this link:

We have a permit from the City of Durham Parks and Recreation for this project. A dedicated committee of Durham locals is working to complete this project. We hope to complete this project by the Fall of 2021. In planning and working on this project, it is important to represent the Duke Park and larger Durham community. We want to include your voices! We will seek community input with door-to-door visits, online surveys, drop boxes, social media, newsletters, listservs, and park events. We want your input so we can represent our community’s values and experiences in the mural. A local Durham artist will design and paint the mural. If you are interested in finding out more about this project or donating, find us on instagram, facebook, or flyers posted around Duke Park and the Duke Park neighborhood.

Thank you,
